“Save the Planet” is the
message being sent out to society these days, as future
generations are depending on our actions nowadays more than
ever.
One group being targeted by
these messages are motorists who, without malice, are
causing a great deal of the damage every day.
But for many people
spending vast amounts of money on a state-of-the-art
electric car, something with lower emissions, converting to
gas, or even getting their hands on a motor that can happily
run on vegetable oil, is not an easy option.
Many people may also worry
about the negative financial implications of going green,
without thinking to look into the possibility of getting
more favourable car insurance.
With the emphasis nowadays
on reducing the world¹s carbon footprint, many companies
will now offer policies favouring the more environment
friendly motorist, such as policies that offset carbon
emissions.
Coupled with efforts by the
government to hit the owners of gas-guzzlers in the wallet,
this could well be the way forward both for the environment
and the finances.
